We made it over the mountain..yesterday, we were stranded, because the pass was much to horrid to *pass* over/(o;  We made it over the mountain…

I feel like I’ve made it over quite  a few mountains this past week…Really, this trip has been so eye-opening.  Life hits you hard when you least expect it.  I am completely floored at how the LORD works…Even when you feel like it is the end of the road.  I am amazed at how present Jehovah is in the midst of sorrow, and death, suicide, heartbreak.  He is a holy God, and His holiness even shines in the hard things.  His light shines so bright…so bright is my God.

..all God’s ways are good…

That was scrolled upon the window at one of the houses I was able to stay at.  O how that statement is true.  God is Holy.  God is Truth.  God is Light…all God’s ways are good.  I have never experienced such truth as I have this week.  We live in a world full of lies..we can either believe those lies, or search out truth.  Which will you do?

During the drive home, I had a lot of time to think.  Something I learned this week in class is:

Every man is going to give account of “himself” to God.  We can’t run other people’s lives.  Although this is not something new to me, it seemed to click this time.  When we worry about others, I think it makes our lives miserable.  If we are constantly trying to control how others act, then we have no time to look at our own selves.  If we are so busy looking at the flaws of others, then our flaws are pretty invisible.  So, live your life how *YOU* should live it.  Don’t try and make others, make yourself.  Live your life for God.  He wants you, so focus on Him.

On a lighter note:  The sun is shining, and it is making me quite happy.  I am very happy..so happy..mhmm…God is so good.  My jumbled up mind is clear and content and satisfied.  Isn’t feeling satisfied the best thing in the world?  To know that my God has everything under control is a most overwhelming feeling.  My heart is beaming.

I never knew what life was until I stepped outside of the box.

Rubber boots, crying, heartbreak, trusting Jesus, speaking what I believe, prayer, and faith.  This weekend has been one of the most eye-opening.  Sometimes life hits you like a freight train..this week was one of those weeks.  God is moving so much..I can feel it, I can see it, I can hear Him.  It’s beautiful.  The Living God is so much more than I thought He was.  My perception of Him has changed so much…I’ve realized that I need Him more than anything..it’s almost hilarious…we think we have it all together, and then it hits us…we can’t do anything by ourselves.  For me it’s been quite humbling and so invigorating.  His hand is so completely steady, I would not want to be in anyone eles’s hands…My God is mighty..

I’m sorry for such a long season of my not writing…I’ve been quite busy.  Right now, I am a student at a missionary discipleship program.  Life haas been so full and wonderful.  If I was to look back a year ago, I would have never in my wildest dreams have imagined that I would be sitting here listening to Sondre Lerche, and doing the things I’ve been doing.  To see the hand of God is a most amazing thing.  Before I came, I didn’t know who God was.  I had no idea how to know God, and although I hardly have touched the surface, I feel like He has opened my eyes to so much.  Every morning He meets me a little more, and o how much I am beginning to love Him.  I love Him so much.  Like a plant loves sunshine, or the waves love the wind.  My heart is bursting. 

My encouragement to you?  Step. outside. the. box.
