Today I am moving. The LORD has called me to go to a missionary training program. So what am I able to do but listen to His voice, and follow Him. The LORD will speak to them that will listen. He wants to lead you. He is the Great Shepherd after all. Today in church, one of the men gave me a send-off letter. I think it is something that everyone needs to read. So here we go…

“The Lambs”
Sheep are very dumb animals, lambs are dumber! In this sense, I mean “stupid“. They can’t be “trained” per se, as dogs or horse, or even pigs. But lambs will always follow one of 2 voices; that of a Judas goat(which is trained to lead) or the voice of the shepherd. That’s why dogs are used to herd sheep, and that is why a “judas goat” is used to lead sheep to the slaughter.
Dumb also means “silent“, as in “blind, deaf, and dumb”. They are unable to defend themselves. Helen Keller was a famous lady that was blind, deaf, and dumb. But with loving patience her teacher(nanny) taught this young woman to “speak“, using only a gentle touch of the hand. It was an amazing feat “Sign Language”!
Discipleship programs and missionary “programs” can “teach” many things; yet there is only one voice that is totally trustworthy! That of the Shepherd.
To enter into a “mission” of any type, one must first know the Shepherd, “so well” that only His voice is heard. The source of that voice is not “without“, it’s “within“.

to the young men.

Dear Young Men,

I have written to the young ladies on the subject of purity, and I would like to do so with you.  I feel as though it is not talked about enough in the realm of men.  At least, from where I stand, as a young lady, I see so little of it.  All around me, I see the perverseness of the lust of the eye, and the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life.  It has taken over our culture…I do not want it to take over you!  Don’t let it.  If you believe in God, stand up!  Be men of God!  You cannot serve Him sometimes…it is either all or nothing.  You are the men, the providers, the strength, the head.  What is it worth if you are filled with filthiness?  What is a building if there is rot in the foundation?  If ye are to stand young men, then you must remove all vileness of heart.  That brings me to the subject of your sisters in Christ.  In 1 Tiomothy 5 it says:

“Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren; the elder woman as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity.”  (verses 1 and 2)

I would like to stress on the end of the verse:  “the younger as sisters, with all purity“.  1.because I am a young lady and 2.because I would like to give you my point of view on the subject.  Please listen, and correct me when I write amiss..I am only writing through my own experience.  I have found that the men who desire the most to know Christ, are those that desire most to protect the heart of their dear sisters.  I have seen so much irresponsible behavior on the side of the young men,  but we have not helped you.  What the flesh wants is so distant from what the Spirit wants.  If there is one thing that I would want from you, then it is that you would guard our hearts.  O that you would not pursue us in such a foolish manner!  We are your sisters, so please treat us so.  Do not let your flesh get in the way.  I am going to tell you the same thing that I told the girls..If you want a wife, seek God.  Seek God!  Do not go after the foolish, frivolous girls who desire to play with the world.  If you want a wife like that, then it will be your downfall.  Do not try and find a wife with your own ability.  Jehovah is so much better in the matching of hearts.  Trust Him.  Don’t waste so much of your time looking for a wife..don’t worry dear, God will put her right in front of you.  While you are waiting though, please protect the hearts of your sisters around you.  Be a friend to them, nothing more.  When you are right with God, that is when you are ready for marriage.  Be in the Father!  Young men, be full of the Spirit!  You are made to be strong men full of Jehovah.  You were made for Him..so serve Him with all you’ve got.  Let Him occupy your minds.  Dear brothers, love not the world..search for more than what is in it…there is no life in this world..there is only life in Christ Jesus.  There is life in the Saviour that died for you.  Seek Him, not the things of this world.   Dear Brothers, be alive in God.

The sky is amazing.  It is so lovely…God made it that way.  How wonderful it is to serve such a wonderful God.

Yesterday at fellowship, all the young, single girls got an admonition.  It was a beautiful one, and I would like to share it with you.  It was given by an old man in the fellowship.  His plea to us, was to never let go of Jesus, and to keep Him first in our eyes.  He is the One that will guide us through thick and thin.  He will never let us go.  He went on the say how important it is that we are pure…

Now, purity to me is a huge thing.  I am saddened by how many girls today are just simply giving themselves away.  God does  not want that!  In Christ, is your body your own?  No!  Paul says in 1 Corinthians:

“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?  If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.” (3:16 and 17)

“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?  For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” (6:19 and 20)

If we are to be holy before God, we must put on purity.  Make it a frame of mind.  Guard your hearts!  Do you really want to serve the LORD?  Then seek Him and not men.  You desire to marry?  Good, seek God.  You want a man you say?  Seek God.  We waste so much time trying to get what we want, when really, God is trying to give us what we need.  Ladies, Jesus is so much more lovely than anything you could ever desire.  Is your will better than that of the Father?  Does He not know the count of the stars, and did He not know you before you were formed in the womb?  All through the Scriptures we can see the parallel of faithfulness and failure.  We see kings that loved the LORD with all their hearts, we see men that were disobedient to the direction of Jehovah, and we see godly radicals that have been martyred for the Kingdom.  Will you be faithful to God?  Women, put on Christ!  Make Him your one desire.  Like that old man said to me in fellowship yesterday, “Don’t give one inch away.“  O how much God desires His children to be pure!  Girls, put on purity.  Do not settle for the mediocre, type A woman.  Strive to be more than that.  Open your hearts and let the LORD move.  Be pure and holy.

{the new year is here}

It’s here(o:  The new year has finally come to the surface.  Last night, I got to go to a wonderful party. It made me smile so much.  Some people shared what Jehovah had done in their lives this past year, and we sang.  Singing makes me so happy(o:  The countdown was so crazy!  It was almost overwhelming(o:  The sweetest part of the night was this elderly, married couple that stood in the corner clinging to each other after the clock had struck twelve.  In a sense, that elderly couple represented the love that Jesus has for us.  How much He wants us to cling to Him!  Jesus wants us to give our entire year to Him…..Jesus is the One you need to pour your whole life into.  Give your life to the LORD this year.

After the party, I stood in our kitchen smiling so big.  I could only let praise spill from my lips.
